TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday, 10 September 2019 – The delegation from the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College, Republic of Singapore, comprised of 79 personnel led by the Commandant, Colonel Lee Wee Chek Simon visited the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) as part of their overseas study visit to Brunei Darussalam. Upon arrival at the DA RBAF Headquarters, Colonel Lee Wee Chek Simon was welcomed by the Commandant of the DA RBAF, Colonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, and other DA RBAF Senior Officers. The visit commenced with a Courtesy Call where both sides acknowledged the cordial relations between the RBAF and the Singapore Armed Forces and discussed potential areas to explore to enhance the military-to-military bilateral cooperation particularly through trainings.
The programme then proceeded with a briefing on the structure, roles and responsibilities of the DA RBAF at the Auditorium delivered by the DA RBAF Commandant. The delegation was then ushered to the Ceremonial Hall for a Meet and Greet Session with the Ninth RBAF Command and Staff Course participants.
This visit serves as a platform for future cooperation between the two armed forces in an effort to strengthen the long-standing relationship that has existed between the two nations through defence diplomacy and military trainings.
