MALAYSIA’S MINISTER OF DEFENCE INTRODUCTORY VISIT TO DEFENCE ACADEMY, ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES

TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 23 January 2019 – The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, The Minister of Defence of Malaysia, who is currently in Brunei Darussalam for his introductory visit had the opportunity to visit the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in Kampong Tanah Jambu today. Upon arrival at the Ceremonial Hall, The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu was welcomed by Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF, Colonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commandant of Defence Academy RBAF and RBAF officers.


The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu then proceeded to the Conference Room for a briefing on Defence Academy delivered by Chief Instructor of Defence Academy Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Mohamad Hasreen bin Pg Haji Ali Hassan. The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu was then ushered to the Ceremonial main  Hall main for a parchment signing followed by photo session. The 9th RBAF Command and Staff Course participants also had the honour to meet with The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu. The Malaysia Minister of Defence then had the opportunity to visit the Library and the Auditorium of Defence Academy RBAF and concluded the visit with light refreshment at the Cafeteria of Defence Academy RBAF.
 
This visit serves as a platform for future defence cooperation between the two nations in an effort to strengthen the long-standing relationship through defence diplomacy.
