Kg Tanah Jambu, Wednesday 23 January 2019 – The Defence Adviser of the United Kingdom to Brunei Darussalam, Colonel Mike Page paid a courtesy call today to the Commandant of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Colonel Haji Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and congratulated him on his recent appointment as the 5th Commandant of Defence Academy RBAF.

During the visit, both sides discussed various areas of interest, which include way forward  of the Loan Service contribution and cooperation in training development between the two armed forces for future endeavour which they believed need to be maintained. The discussion also focus on the courses conducted by the Defence Academy particularly the Command and Staff Course (CSC) which inaugurates Universiti Brunei Darussalam as the main academic provider for the first time this year replacing New Zealand's Massey University which has worked together with the Staff College, Defence Academy for the last eight years. Colonel Mike Page also hoped for opportunity for RBAF personnel to explore potential avenues that can be developed, for example, exchange programmes between the two Armed Forces especially for those that relate expertise that relate to UAV, Artillery, Air Defence, Armoured and others.

Brunei and the United Kingdom share a long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship for a long time, such meeting like this will definitely booster and strengthen the cooperation on defence and military cooperation.
