
Friday, 29 April 2016 – Eighteen officers had completed the Writing Skills Course Series 1/2016 today which conducted by Leadership and Management Centre, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The closing ceremony was officiated by the guest of honor, Lieutenant Colonel Suriyati binti Haji Junaidi, Chief Instructor of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This course had become one of the mandatory courses as part of the promotion requirements for lieutenants to captains which consisted of essay writing skills and service writing skills that conducted twice a year.
During the ceremony, the guest of honor stated in her remarks that this course aims to enhance the level of knowledge and skills of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces officers in service writing convention and military correspondences as well as to improve their skills in research and analytical thinking. Upon completing the course, lessons that had been taught during this course shall be applied in their respective units correctly. The officers are also expected to deliver and express their thoughts and opinions in any subject matter confidently, therefore they are advised to utilize beneficial facilities provided by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence. At the end of the ceremony, the guest of honor then presented the certificates to the course participants and proceed with a photo taking session.
