Wednesday 22 May 2019 – The ISC 19/2019 students resumed further visits to ministries and agencies on their third day of the Local Study Tour Programme.
The program started with a visit to the Authority Monetary Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Commonwealth Drive. Present to receive the delegation was Awang Jason Lih Chang, Senior Manager Economic, Research and Statistics. The students were briefly introduced to the organisation as well as AMBD’s chief function in the formulation and implementation of monetary policies, as well as their initiatives aligning with Brunei Vision 2035’s Goal 3.
The visit then continued to the Ministry of Transport and Info-communications (MTIC) at Jalan Menteri Besar, where the delegation was received by Dayang Florence Chong, Special Duty Officer Grade II. During the briefing, the students were briefed on the overview of the MTIC organisations, departments and core strategies incorporated by MTIC in supporting the nation’s objectives.
Tokens of appreciation were exchanged between the HLMC and cohort leader of ISC 19/2019 to the representatives of the visited ministries. The HLMC expressed his deepest appreciation for the conduct of the visits and emphasized the importance of such visits towards developing a comprehensive understanding of national policies contributing towards Brunei Vision 2035.
